Dominica’s Citizenship by Investment (CBI) program, launched in 1993, is one of the longest-running and most affordable CBI programs in the Caribbean. It allows individuals and their families to obtain citizenship through financial contributions, offering a wide range of benefits including visa-free travel to numerous countries worldwide.

Key Requirements
  • Clean Criminal Record:
    Applicants must submit a police clearance certificate from their country of residence.
  • Good Health:
    A medical certificate is required to prove that applicants are in good health and free of contagious diseases.
  • Due Diligence Process:
    The applicant must pass a comprehensive background check, including checks on their financial background and reputation.
  • Financial Proof:
    Applicants must demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to meet the required investment amount and pay all associated fees.
  • Age Limit:
    The program allows for spouses, dependent children up to the age of 30, and dependent parents or grandparents over the age of 55 to be included in the application.
Application Process
  • Selection of Investment Option

    Applicants choose one of the two investment routes: the EDF donation or real estate investment.

  • Submission of Application

    Applications must be submitted through a government-authorized agent. Along with the application form, supporting documents such as a valid passport, police record, medical certificate, and proof of investment must be provided.

  • Due Diligence Checks

    Once the application is submitted, the government performs a thorough due diligence check on the applicant and their dependents.

  • Investment and Approval

    If the applicant passes the due diligence check, they proceed to make the investment or donation. Afterward, the application is approved, and citizenship is granted.

  • Issuance of Passport

    After approval, the applicant receives a certificate of naturalization, allowing them to apply for a Dominican passport.

  • Real estate investment: $200,000

  • Application Fee: $1,000 per application
  • Certificate of Naturalisation fees: US$ 500 each
Due Diligence Fee
  • Principal Applicant: $7,500
  • Spouse: $4,000, Dependents: $4,000 (16+)
Government Fee
  • US$75,000 for the main applicant
  • US$100,000 for the main applicant and up to three dependents
  • US$25,000 for each additional dependent under the age of 18
  • US$40,000 for each additional qualified dependent aged 18 years of age or older.
Interview Fee
